The Latin Recording Academy has announced this year’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment Honorees, who will be celebrated ahead of the 2020 Latin GRAMMY Awards next month
GRAMMY-nominated Colombian hip-hop group ChocQuibTown’s Goyo, CBS’s award-winning journalist Maria Elena Salinas, international pop star Selena Gomez and esteemed entertainment attorney Angela N. Martinez are the women impacting media who will be celebrated in this year’s Leading Ladies of Entertainment event, the Latin Recording Academy has announced. The women will be recognized in a virtual ceremony hosted by GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Erika Ender on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The Leading Ladies of Entertainment initiative aims to honor “professional and socially conscious women within the arts and entertainment fields who have made significant contributions, inspiring the next generation of female leaders.”

Latin Recording Academy President/CEO Gabriel Abaroa Jr. said this year’s honorees continue a list of impressive leaders celebrated by the Latin Recording Academy.
“These four successful women are passionate, driven and extraordinarily inspirational. We are grateful for the positive impact they have on our communities and the example they set for the next generation of leaders, demonstrating that anything is possible,” he said in a statement.
The ceremony will also help the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation raise money for a scholarship that will aid a young woman looking to study music. A portion of the proceeds from corporate sponsorship will go toward the scholarship.
