New music from Selena Gomez is on the way.
On Monday (August 23), the “Lose You to Love Me” singer announced that her newest single, “999” with Camilo, drops Friday (August 27). The song is available for pre-save here. This will be Gomez’s first track since releasing her first Spanish-language EP, Revelación, in March, and her previous album, Rare, in 2020.
In May, she teased her next era in a photo on Instagram stories, showcasing a beaded bracelet spelling out “SG3,” a hint to new music on the way despite previously suggesting she would step away from music.
Last week, the Rare Beauty founder walked back previous comments that she had planned to quit music after giving it “one last try” before retiring.
In a recent interview with Elle, Gomez said felt like her music wasn’t taken seriously within the industry, comments she originally stated earlier this year. However, she doesn’t think she’ll ever quit making music, adding, “I’m not saying I want a Grammy. I just feel like I’m doing the best I can, and it’s all about me. Sometimes, that can really get to me.”
