Lost in translation but in lust: That’s the message conveyed in Selena Gomez’s new Spanish-language single “Baila Conmigo” in collaboration with Rauw Alejandro.
In the sultry reggaeton song, produced by Tainy, Selena and Rauw go back-and-forth with sultry lyrics about dance and desire — despite the language barrier. “Baby, I don’t know if you speak a lot of Spanish/ If you understand when I say ‘my love’/ Devouring each other without understanding each other is better/ We only have to like each other,” Rauw kicks off the song.
Bringing the love story to life, the cinematic visual filmed by Nogari in Ceará, Brazil, shows a woman who loves to dance and ultimately meets her soulmate at the beach.
“Baila Conmigo” comes just two days after Gomez announced her all-Spanish EP Revelacion, dropping in March, and two weeks after the release of “De Una Vez,” her first Spanish single in more than a decade.
