Selena feels she should protect Justin
Selena Gomez has been warned by her family and friends to stay far away from ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber after his racism scandal, inside sources have claimed.
Despite the fact that Selena apparently wants to be there for her famous ex, people around her are trying to convince her to cut off all ties and not to be associated with him.
The pair have had an on-again, off-again relationship, with Selena recently being linked to One Direction star Niall Horan, but this could be the point that Selena finally makes the decision to stay away from Justin once and for all.
A source told HollywoodLife.com: “Selena always feels that she should protect Justin, and as long as he continues to get in trouble, she will continue to feel bad for him and want to do something to help.”
They added that Selena choosing to support Justin is “exactly what her family and friends DON’T want her to do,” and that Selena is finding herself conflicted.
The source continued: “They want her as far away from Justin as possible and for her to make an identity for herself that doesn’t involve him. Selena’s handlers are doing everything they can think of to get Justin out of her mind but it is a tremendous work in progress and an almost impossible feat.”
Justin also apparently has a cameo in Selena’s new movie Behaving Badly. The teen star is shown being walked to a jail cell, and is only visible for a split second.
Still, don’t expect to see a joint press tour any time soon.
