Selena Gomez is currently busy thriving in Mexico for her cousin’s bachelorette party. Gomez’s cousin Priscilla DeLeon is preparing to tie the knot to her fiancé Jay Cosme, but not before spending some down time with friends.
The group of women are currently in Puerto Vallarta lounging by the pool and riding four wheelers. Theresa Marie Mingus shared a photo of the three relaxing poolside in a cabana on Friday.
DeLeon got engaged in March 2016 and the two cousins have been documenting the journey on Instagram for the world’s viewing pleasure. Gomez posted a photo of her and DeLeon shortly after the engagement writing, “We have waited our whole lives for this #whyamIactinglikeigotaring.” Next June DeLeon revealed that she had asked Gomez to be her Maid of Honor, which she happily agreed to.
In February of 2018, Gomez skipped then-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s NBA All-Star game to fly to Texas to help her cousin go dress shopping. DeLeon revealed that Gomez surprised her by buying her wedding dress.
“When your maid of honor makes your dream dress a reality and surprises you with it!” she wrote on Instagram.
While Gomez may be relaxing on vacation right now, she’s also been busy speaking up about migrant children at the border. On Saturday she urged her Instagram followers to call their representatives asking them to close the migrant camps.
“Kids in cages! Sleeping on concrete floors with aluminum blankets! No access to simple dignities! How is this still happening??? It’s absolutely inhumane to treat anyone like this let alone children,” she wrote. “I can’t even imagine what they are going through. We need to get this to finally stop!
