I have uploaded new photoshoots of Selena Gomez for New York Daily News during her interview with them while promoting “Getaway” in New York City.
The first time we see Selena Gomez’s character The Kid in “Getaway,” she’s holding Ethan Hawke at gunpoint. If it looks like the former Disney star has no idea what she’s doing, then she’s making her director very proud.
“It was really fun because [director] Courtney [Solomon] didn’t really want me to know how to hold it,” Gomez tells the Daily News . “I’m supposed to be a young girl and I’m supposed to be taking care of myself, so I don’t really know how to handle it.”
The 21-year-old stunner is talking about her character in “Getaway,” in theaters Friday, but she could have easily been referring to her younger self. After spending years as a child star, Gomez landed the starring role on the Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” at 15.
But Gomez isn’t a young girl anymore, and she seems to know how to handle the fame game — unlike many of her peers. She took on a more adult acting role in this year’s “Spring Breakers,” and in life with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber.
