Billy Crudup, Anton Yelchin, Selena Gomez and Laurence Fishburne have joined William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman in Unified Pictures’ music drama “Rudderless.”
Macy is making his feature directorial debut on “Rudderless.” Lensing begins later this month in Oklahoma.
Keith Kjarval is producing through his Unified Pictures production-finance banner. Brad Greiner is also producing through his Amberdale shingle.
“Rudderless” centers on a grieving father in a downward spiral who forms a band after stumbling across a box of his deceased son’s original music. Casey Twenter and Jeff Robison adapted the screenplay from the original story they wrote with Macy.
Radiant Films Intl. is handling foreign sales.
Unified Pictures has two films premiering later this month at the Tribeca Film Festival – the thriller “A Single Shot,” directed by David M. Rosenthal; and the dark comedy “Trust Me,” directed by and starring Clark Gregg.
Unified also recently tapped John Stevenson and Cameron Hood to develop its CG-animated feature “Noah’s Ark.”
